Bruce County has employers creating opportunities, tradespeople with real-world experience, schools introducing students to skilled careers, apprenticeship pathways, training programs, employment supports, workforce organizations, specialized facilities and people looking for a way into the trades.

The challenge is that those pieces do not always connect in a way that is simple for the person or employer trying to navigate them.

The Bruce County Trades Hub is being developed to bring those connections into one clearer regional pathway.

For partners, that starts with understanding three things:

SO, WHERE DOES SWIFT OPS FIT?

Connecting the pieces and keeping the pathway moving.

Every organization brings its own expertise, relationships and resources. Swift Ops works across those different parts of the system to help turn them into a pathway that is easier for people and employers to navigate.

That starts with listening to what people and employers actually need, understanding what resources and opportunities already exist, making the right connections and following those connections far enough to understand what happened.

Over time, those conversations also help us see where opportunities are being missed, where employers could create more capacity, where people are getting stuck and where existing resources could be better used.

Every partner brings something different, and that is exactly the point. Partnership starts by looking at what your organization already does well, what you could bring to the Hub and what we might be able to build together.

PARTICIPATE
Bring your expertise, programs, relationships, workforce knowledge or opportunities into the regional pathway.

CONTRIBUTE
Open a door. Provide an experience, training opportunity, facility, equipment, mentorship, employer connection, student opportunity or another resource that could create more local access.

BUILD
Work with Swift Ops to develop a pathway, project or solution where there is an opportunity to make something work better, reach more people or fill a demonstrated gap.

Partnerships are built around the opportunity.

Some may involve ongoing collaboration, some may be project-based and others may include meaningful in-kind contributions. Swift Ops works directly with each partner to determine where they fit and what we can realistically accomplish together.
